MDFA 2nd division Play-off: Shoaib shah’s injury time goal rescues KNFC a point, while Charkop FC, Classic share spoils too

A late fight back from KNFC shares the spoils with Bombay YMCA while in other fixture Classic SC and Charkop play goal less draw.
2nd Division Play0off: Group D
The first game of the day ended on a goal less stalemate as neither side managed to break the deadlock. The draw means both sides started off their play-off campaign with a point a piece. Meanwhile in other group D fixture of the day, KNFC made a remarkable comeback with two late goals to rescue themselves a point as all group D teams ended at a point each after first round.
Bombay YMCA started off brightly with Kazim Sayyed 21st minute strike putting his team in to lead. Minutes before break Rahil Ansari doubled the lead to make it 2-0 as Bombay YMCA looked in complete control of the game. However after holding off KNFC attack for most part of the game they finally succumbed minutes before regular full-time as Sanket Kamble pulled one back. With the goal, KNFC went all out for the equaliser putting men forward and they were finally rewarded when Shoaib Shah fund the net in the third minute of the injury time to share the spoils and rescue appoint for his team.

Game 2: KNFC – Naseeb 2 (Sanket Kamble 68’, Shoaib Shah 70+3’) – 2 Bombay YMCA (Kazim Sayyed 21’, Rahil Ansari 34’)
Meanwhile in group A fixture, Mumbai Rush suffered a disappointing 1-5 loss to JMJ Sports club while going down to 10 men for final parts of the game. Noom Rodrigues, who struck the 2nd goal was given the marching order after picking up the second booking of the day. Reuben Fernandes struck a brace while Vishal Kapse and Melvin Barboza chipped in with one each. In group B, Das FA steered to a comprehensive 2-0 win over Worli SC with Erhard Fernandes and Japkrish Singh getting on the scoring charts.
