MDFA 2nd Division: Millat FC (B) hold a late fight back from Lakers FC to win 3-2

A late surge from Lakers FC was not enough as ten man Millat FC edge the former 3-2, while in other play-off game Maurya Youngstars FA blank Castle Boys 3-0
2nd Division Play-off:
Maurya Youngstars FA booked their place in to the next round after picking up their second win in as many play-off group C games. After Keegan Fernandes opened the scoring in the 16th minute to put Maurya in to the lead, a late brace from Akash Indulkar finished off the game as the match ended at 3-0 score line in favour of Maurya Youngstars.
In other Play-off game, Millat FC (B) held off a late Lakers comeback attempt as they took an all important three points to keep themselves alive in the quarterfinal race. Salik Khan struck brace while Faraz Khan chipped in with one goal to send Millat FC to a cruising 3-0 lead by 40 minutes. However a red card to Ovaiz was second booking up the day changed the momentum of the game as Lakers took the man advantage to score two goals. Rupesh Shetty and Divesh Shetty chipped in with one each to reduce the deficit to just 1 goal. However Millat held on the lead for final parts of the game to finish off the match with all three points.
Group C: Castle Boys SC 0 – 3 Maurya Youngstars FA (Keegan Fernandes 16’, Akash Indulkar 60’, 62’)
Group A: Millat FC (B) 3 (Salik Khan 8‘, 40’, Faraz Khan 31’ ) – 2 Lakers FC (Rupesh Shetty 48’, Divesh Shetty 56’)

2nd Division League:
In an important final league game of group C table, Youth Soocer A and Utkarsh Mandal fought the battle to avoid wooden spoon. After a cagey start, Rohan Kandare opened the scoring for Youth Soccer but Abhimanyu Pawar equalised in the very next minute to put the game back on level terms. However, Youth Soccer A came back strong with 3 quick goals in ten minutes, Saptarshi Gupta, Omkar Keni and Tejas Pethe found the back of the net to end the game 4-1. With this loss, Utkarsh Mandal ended the campaign with just 3 points 8 games to be placed at the bottom of the table.
In other league fixture, Oscar Foundation came out with a comfortable 3-0 win against dadar XI to end the campaign at fifth position in group A league table with Pritam Shinde, Mukesh Rathod and Dhanraj Chavan getting on the score sheet.

Group A: Youth Soccer A 4 (Rohan Kandare 37’, Saptarshi Gupta 57’, Omkar Keni 65’, Tejas Pethe 67’) – 1 Utkarsh Mandal (Abhimanyu Pawar 38’)
