MDFA 2nd Division: IIT Powai romp to easy 4-1 win
IIT Powai showed good understanding and combined well as a team as they romped to a 4-1 win against Tarun Mitra Mandal in a Second Division match of the Rustomjee-MDFA League 2018-2019, and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel.
The hero of IIT Powai’s victory was Yash Maheshwary who hit the target twice scoring in the 15th and 68th minutes. Earlier, Jince Gomez opened the scoring with a strike in the eighth minute and Toshan Khargumnuid scored one in the 26th minute to complete the winning margin. For Tarun Mitra Mandal the lone goal came through Anurag Surve’s 59th minute strike.
In another match, Kaustubh Sawant’s 53rd minute goal enabled Ruffians SC overcome Grey Athletics-Tipu Sultan SC by a narrow 1-0 margin.

IIT Powai 4 (Yash Maheshwary 2, Toshan Khargumnuid 1, Jince Gomez 1) beat Tarun Mitra Mandal 1 (Anurag Surve(59).
Los Galacticos SC 0 drew with Godrej & Boyce SC 0.
Ruffians FC 1 (Kaustubh Sawant 1) beat Grey Athletics-Tipu Sultan 0.
