While in a 2nd division group D clash, Feugo Tormento FC clinched a crucial 3-1 victory over table toppers KNFC-Naseeb, Indian ex-service man & Los Galacticos FC registered identical 2-0 victories over Adarsh FC and Khiladi Connect FC in 3rd division face-off.

1st Game – Feugo Tormento FC (Abhishek,Faizan,Sanket) 3 – 1 KNFC-Naseeb (Saqib)

In the first match of the day Feugo Tormento FC upset the table-toppers KNFC-Naseeb coutesy goals from Abhishek,Faizan and Sanket . This win helped Feugo Tormento FC  cement, their 3rd  position in group D, taking their tally to 14 points in 6 matches; just 2 points behind KNFC who remains static at the top, having played couple of matches more. It was an evenly contested match where Abhishek Halde’s 8 minute strike gave Tormentos the opening lead, only to be equalized by Saqib Ansari 3 minutes later. Faizaan Khan generated the lead as the clock ticked past 32 minutes, before Sanket Humbe’s final goal in 68th minute ensured full points for Feugo Tormento FC from this cracker of a match.

2nd Game – Indian Ex-Service Man (Jordan)  1-0  Adarsh FC

In the 3rd division play-off stage; in a group G clash, Indian Ex-Service Man registered  a deserved victory over Adarsh FC owing to the solitary strike of Jordan in the first half. The only goal of the match came at 14th minute when Jordan Patel latched on to an aerial ball following a free kick rebound and scooped it above Ravi, the onrushing goalie .

Adarsh FC launched numerous attacks into the opposition box in the second half only to be withheld by the stubborn defense of Indian Ex-service Man. Best chance of equalizer went begging to Prince, as he pushed the ball past the custodian, only to be denied by a diving Stallan, who made a fine goal-line save for the ex-service men. Indian Ex-service man also had chances to double the lead but the substitute, Elton D’monte failed to covert after a rare passing error in the Adarsh backline. With this victory Indian Ex-Service Man leapfrogs to the top position with 7 points in 3 matches while Adarsh FC demotes to the final place in the table.

3rd Game – Los Galacticos FC (Rahul,Siddhanth)  2-0  Khiladi Connect FC

Last match of the day in 3rd division play-off saw Los Galacticos FC emerging victorious, in a Group F clash with Khiladi Connect FC courtesy strikes from Rahul Yadav and Siddhanth Suvarna. The match started on a positive vibe with both the teams creating goal-scoring chances in the first 5 minutes. Galacticos looked patient and composed, as they took over the control of the match, owing to proper passing and co-ordination of the midfielders.

Shannon and Siddhanth took charge of the Glacticos midfield as most of the attacks were initiated by them, backed up by impeccable ball distribution. First and the best goal of the match came at 10th minute when Siddhant, provided a beautiful through pass bisecting KCFC defenders Tejendra and Darshan ; which found an overlapping Rahul from the right, at the top of the box , who curled in an ideal scorcher past the goalie.

KCFC took no time to regroup and started to take more possession; Darshan undertook the role of distributor, providing chances for Abhimanyu and Nadeem to showcase creativity, upfront. But a fatal mishap between Tejendra and his fellow custodian cost a tad too much for Khiladi Connect FC, as they conceded the second and the final goal in the 28th minute. It was a harmless booming rebound from one of the Galacticos players for which Khiladi custodian moved up from his territory; but Tejendra rushing backwards, even when his  goalie seemed to be in a better position to receive it, caused the misunderstanding. The split-second delay was enough for the ever-alert Siddhant to dribble past the goalie and put it calmly into the back of the net. A stunned KCFC tried to fight back but it was one of those days when lady luck didn’t seem impressed, as Nadeem saw two of his best shots debarred by the cross-bar.

With this result Los Glacticos FC consolidated their top position with 7 points from 3 games while Khiladi Connect FC remains 3rd in the group ‘F’ standings.
