KSA-Ambitious play-off hope crashes with a close loss against Footie First FC

KSA Ambitious FA’s hope of play-off qualification comes to an agonizing end as a 1-2 loss against their group L leader Footie First FC meant end of an ambitious campaign

With play-off hopes still on cards, KSA Ambitious FA faced Footie First FC in their final group fixture with the latter prevailing over the debut campaigners by a tight 2-1 margin. Aniket lad struck the opening goal for Footie First in the 16th minute before KSA Ambitious equalized through Jai Thakur’s goal in the 22nd minute. Judon  D’Souza netted the crucial winner in the 26th minute to secure Footie First win and the three points.

In another match, Sahil Deshmukh scored the all-important winning as Yeshua FC got the better of Life Care Foundation FC by a narrow 1-0 margin in a Third Division match of the MDFA League 2018-19 and played at the St. Xavier’s ground, Parel.  Deshmukh scored the lone goal in the 33rd minute.

Results – 3rd Division: 

Footie First FC (Aniket Lad 16′, Judon D’Souza 26′) 2 – 1 KSA Ambitious FC (Jai Thakur 22′).

Yeshua FC (Sahil Deshmukh 33′) 1 – 0 Life Care Foundation
