India retains Top 100 FIFA ranking for fourth consecutive month
On Thursday the new FIFA rankings were released with Germany topping the charts going into the World Cup while India retains their Top 100 rankings for the fourth consecutive month.
The latest FIFA rankings are out with just one change in the top 10 category – Poland and Spain trading places with the former at 8th and the later at 10th, while Germany still leads the chart.
Meanwhile India retains its top 100 rankings for the fourth consecutive month courtesy of the two wins coming against Chinese Taipei and Kenya in the ongoing Hero Intercontinental Cup. The loss against India has affected both Chinese Taipei and Kenya in Rankings too, with the Taiwanese outfit dropping 2 places to 123 after suffuring a defeat against All whites too. At the other end, the Harambe stars dropped just 1 place to 112 having seen Two losses(India & Swaziland) and Two wins (New Zealand & Equatorial Guinea).
Meanwhile New Zealand has seen a jump of 13 spots in the new FIFA ranking courtesy of their 1-0 win over Chinese Taipei. The All whites are now placed at 120 spot as they get ready to take 97th Ranked India in the penultimate round before the final of the Hero Intercontinental Cup.
