Champions Cup 2018 – History and Talking Points

A little more than a week to go for the second instalment of ‘Champions Cup’, organised by Ace Sportz, which will witness some of the best corporate teams from Mumbai fighting for the bragging rights. The tournament is set to be contested on 14th April 2018 at CRWA Ground, Chhedanagar (Chembur).

History

The first edition of ‘Champions Cup’ was played in 2017. Intelenet defeated Wills 2-1, courtesy of a late goal which made the inaugural champions. Intelenet had taken an early lead in the first-half but Wills bounced back in the second-half. They levelled the score and dominated the match proceedings and just when everyone thought that the game is heading towards a penalty shootout, Intelenet scored the all-important goal to clinch the title.

Talking Points

The upcoming edition will be nothing short of an enthralling roller-coaster ride. All the participating teams will be provided with full playing kit (Jersey & Shorts) and a Kitbag for each and every player. Keeping in line with the Ace Sportz philosophy of making it the best sporting experience for all participants, refreshments and energy drinks will be available on the ground.
