CBI and ONGC kickstart their season with a win

18th November 2018: Central Bank of India (CBI) and ONGC kick-started their season with a win against Mumbai Customs and HDFC respectively. CBI won 1-0, whereas, ONGC thumped HDFC 3-0.

Last season, CBI had a dismissal season. Before the kick-off, they had a point to prove against a superior Mumbai Customs side.

The Bankers displayed their determination and kept the tempo high throughout the match. Customs’ Dhaval Waghela had an outstanding where he dictated the game.

But the attacker was the only positive from Customs side. On the other end, CBI’s defender Rithick Mukherjee stood like a wall and shielded the goal.

It was Russel Galbano’s strike from the spot gave CBI the lead which went on to prove the decisive goal as CBI romped to victory.

Earlier today, last season’s Champions ONGC thumped HDFC 3-0 to start their campaign on a winning note.

The Super Division Champions HDFC never looked like a threat to the Elite Division Champions and suffered a defeat in their very first game of the season.

Sunil scored twice while prolific Himanshu Patil scored the other one to complete a stunning win.
