BPFL: ND2 Soccer Starz’s semi-final hopes are alive after an emphatic win

29th July 2018, Mumbai: ND2 Soccer Starz, Myrmidons Sporting Club, and Milan Club registered a whopping triumph on Sunday in the Borivali Premier Football League – 3 at St. Francis D’Assisi Ground, Borivali which was nothing but a goal-fest. With this win, ND2 Soccer Starz has kept their hopes alive of making it into the top 2 of Group B as we are nearing towards the conclusion of Group Stage.

Group A: Myrmidons Sporting Club (Mithlesh Kasare x 3, Kunal Patel x 2 and Johnson Mathews) 6-0 Friends United

After conceding a late goal last weekend, Myrmidons left no stones unturned to conclude their campaign in style with a deserving 6-0 over Friends United. Myrmidons finished their Group Stage campaign in the third spot with 8 points in 5 games. Attacker Mithlesh Kasare bagged a brilliant hat-trick while Kunal Patel scored a brace. Johnson Mathews also got on the scoresheet with a sublime strike. Friends United ended their campaign winless. Fleetfooters and Maryland qualify from Group A and will be looking to book their berth in the final.

Group B: Milan Club (Nachiket Palav x 4, Ronak Patel x 2 and Ankit Dalvi x 2) 8-0 Shelar FC

Milan Club made it five in a row to finish as the Group winner. The already-qualified Milan Club scored eight times against Shelar FC to continue their hundred percent winning run this season. Striker Nachiket Palav ended up scoring four goals, whereas, Ronak Patel and Ankit Dalvi notched up a fine brace to complete a resounding victory. So far, Milan Club has scored a total of staggering 22 goals in just 5 games, the best-attacking side in the Tournament by some fine margin.

Group B: ND2 Soccer Starz (Dhuval Waghela x 3 and Pratik Shetty) 4-0 Kajupada Football Club 

Prior to the match, ND2 Soccer Starz needed to win by a big margin to stay in contention of making it to the semi-finals. And well, they did win by four goals to keep up the pressure on Challengers FC who are yet to play their last game. They must emulate Soccer Starz result in order to qualify.

It was Dhuval Waghela’s terrific hat-trick and Pratik Shetty’s lone strike which gave them a splendid victory. Dhuval was the third player on Sunday to bag a hat-trick after Nachiket Palav and Mithlesh Kasare.
