Air India vs KSA – Match Preview

6th April 2018, Mumbai: Table-toppers Air India is all set to lock horns against Karnataka Sports Association (KSA), tomorrow evening, at the Cooperage Stadium in an important MDFA Elite Division clash. A win tomorrow will put Air India’s one hand on the Elite Division trophy as they will go five points clear at the top.

The defending champions are heading towards the match on the back of a 4-2 win over a spirited PIFA Colaba side when they encountered a couple of days back at Cooperage. At one stage of the match, Air India was 2-0 down, courtesy of Kamran Ansari and Aditya Dalvi’s strike in the first-half. Air India picked themselves up and proved their superiority as they went on to score four times.

Steven Dias rolled back the years with a swerving free-kick, whereas, top-scorer Pratik Koli, Rinaldo Fernandes and Substitute Neil Gaikwad also got on the scoresheet. After tomorrow’s game, Air India will be left to play only one match, and that would be up against title-contenders ONGC.

Air India’s counterpart KSA will be playing their last game of the season. They are sixth in the table where a win against the holders will help them to leapfrog Mumbai Customs. So far, KSA has won four out ten games this season, losing thrice.

Just like in the previous games, Steven Dias, Pratik Koli, Rinaldo Fernandes and Vijith Shetty will play a key role once they step on to the field tomorrow. While, on the other side of the pitch, Tushar Poojary, Nascimento, Tarique, and Shabbir can turn out to play an instrumental role for KSA.
