The first team to qualify for the last four was the dominant Bodyline SC who left no stones unturned as they comprehensive got the better of their opponents with a supreme attacking display.

7-0, 7-0 and 10-0, that’s exactly how Bodyline SC final score looked like. Along with Karen, attacker Reetika Sahani and Rhea Rodrigues also had brilliant games. It won’t be surprising if Bodyline SC went on to lift the trophy if they emulate the same performance.

United Poona SA was the other side to join Bodyline SC in the last four after winning two games in three matches. UPSA won their first game 3-2 against Poddar International after suffering a loss at the hands of Bodyline SC in their second game.

However, UPSA won their third and last Group game against Rahul FC 4-0 to cruise into the semi-finals. Their attacker Aishwarya Balapure turned out to be the best player on their side after notching up five goals in three games which include a fine hat-trick against Rahul FC.

Aishwarya’s accelerating pace, quick feet and poacher’s finishing has been the key so far. It was her brilliance which left Poddar International and Rahul FC behind as the club from Pune marched on into the semis.

Poddar International won one from three matches, whereas, Rahul FC suffered three defeats in as many matches. Poddar’s best performance came against Rahul FC when Pranali Chauhan’s hat-trick sunk Rahul FC comprehensively.

The Group B matches will go underway from tomorrow with two places up for grabs. The two best side will join Bodyline SC and United Poona SA in semi-finals.
