Uchil United SC ran riot against Jawahar Young Boys in KSA league
22nd January 2017: Mogaveera SC played Karnatak Amateurs SC and Uchil United SC faced Jawahar Young Boys S.C in the league match of 21st Late Ramanath Payyade Memorial Football League Tournament 2016-17 on Sunday.
In an eventful contest between Mogaveera S.C and Karantak Amateurs S.C, both the sides fought hard to salvage a 1-1 draw in a close encounter at KSA Ground.
Nimesh Shetty who was outstanding in the first-half opened the scoring for Karnatak Amateurs S.C in 31st minute after a fantastic counter-attack. They went into the interval with a solitary lead.
Mogaveera S.C fought back hard in the second-half and leveled the score through Revel Kunder in the 50th minute. Both the sides held their nerves in the rest of the second-half as they escaped with a point.
In the second match, Uchil United S.C thumped Jawahar Young Boys S.C 6-0 in what turned out to be a one sided affair at KSA Ground.
Jawahar Young Boys S.C who were playing with just nine men couldn’t put up a fight as Uchil United S.C proved too superior. Shaun Menezes, Sheldon Menezes, Kanhaiya Rathod, Sudarshan Kamat, Rahul Acharya, and Abhishek Salian scored one each to gun down their counterpart.
