UBI takes on CBI in ‘The Bankers Derby’

11th December 2017, Mumbai: The first derby of the ongoing MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association) Elite Division is set to take place tomorrow when Union Bank of India (UBI) will take on rivals Central Bank of India (CBI) in the ‘Bankers Derby’ at Mumbai Football Arena.

Over the years, ‘Bankers Derby’ has produced some scintillating matches in the Elite Division with either side displaying their qualities to win the bragging rights. UBI is currently having a tremendous season so far who are yet to taste defeat with two wins and a draw.

Star forward Scott D’Souza is making his name synonymous with a staggering goal-scoring record this season. The prolific striker has scored six goals in three games so far in the Elite Division which includes four-goals against MS Police in a 6-0 rout at the Cooperage.

Besides having Scott at their helm, UBI has the likes of Valentine Pereira, Sherwyn Chang, Shannon Pereira. Sandesh Puthran, Riddic Carlo and Siddharth Shetty. Central Bank of India (CBI) will have to be on their best to cause a major upset tomorrow as they are yet to win a game this season, losing twice and drawing once.

The likes of Andrew Burthelo, Kuldeep Maschi, Kevin Patrick must step up tomorrow at the Mumbai Football Arena to become the first side to defeat UBI and what better than to defeat your rivals at such a crucial stage of the season.
