Terry 69 emerge as winners in Jambori & Charitable Trust Tournament

Mumbai, 18th June 2017: An energetic Terry 69 side emerged as the winners after defeating Worli Sports Club via penalties in Jambori Sports & Charitable Trust 9-A side Football Knockout Tournament at St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel on Sunday evening.

Over 32 teams participated in this Tournament which was played out on Saturday and Sunday. As usual local spectators turned up for the match to witness the Tournament.

From Pool A, Mangesh Academy and Worli Sports Club went past against all odds to book a clash in the semi-finals. Mangesh Academy defeated Vision Rescue 6-5 via penalties in a closely contested match.

On the other end, Worli Sports Club also went past their counterpart in the penalties 6-5 to set up an exciting semi-final clash against Mangesh Academy.

The semi-final did live up to its expectations as both the sides played out brilliantly throughout the match. Worli Sports Club ran out as winners when Prayesh’s lone goal turned out to be decisive which sent Worli Sports Club into the finals.

In Pool B, MPFC and Terry 69 qualified for the semis as both the sides narrowly edged their counterparts in the quarter-finals. MPFC defeated Storm Chasers, whereas, Terry 69 defeated Rising Star on penalties to set up a clash against MPFC.

In the semis, Athang’s crucial goal inspired Terry 69 as they defeat MPFC by a solitary goal to cruise into the finals.

The final between Terry 69 and Worli Sports Club saw Terry 69 winning the tie via penalties to emerged as Champions. Raj Trivedi (Terry 69) won the Best Player award, whereas, Amit (Worli Sports Club) won the Best Goalkeeper award.
