Salcette SC & Football Leader Academy win big, Twinkle star take down MFC Yellow
Welcome back MUMBAI & all our viewers who passionately love football and follow us for all the updates. Here we go with another round up of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA), 3rd division results for matches held at Somaiya on Thursday, 2ND February 2017.
Salcette SC and Football Leader Academy were able to notch big wins in their respective matches while Twinkle Star had enough twinkling within their team to get the all-important win.
Salcette SC beat the Sachivalya Gym B side 5-1 to take home all three points. No.10 Ritwik Salian starred the match with a brace complemented by three of his teammates who scored a goal each. Among the other goalscorers were Jay Bhanushali, Tuthesh Podwal & Jay Madan. For Sachivalya Gym B, Dipak Chimankare was the one to score the consolation goal.
Twinkle Star scored two quick goals in each halves to beat MFC Yellow by 2-0. Kashif Ansari was the one to open the scoring in the 4th minute. While Shoaib Ansari doubled the Stars lead as MFC Yellow had no answer.
Football Leader was another team to register a thumping five-goal win over Phoenix SC. Sanju Gondhali was the opening scorer and was backed well by Rohit Shinde who doubled the lead. Gaurav Shinde had a day to remember registering a brace in his side’s win. It was Irshad Shah who rounded off the scoring for the Football Leader side.
