Sahar Silver Star held Fire Dragon with a 1-1 stalemate

16th January 2017, Mumbai:  Sahar Silver Star drew a Second Division MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association), Group H match against Fire Dragon on Monday at St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel. The Full-Time score came out to be 1-1 where both the goals were scored in the first half itself.

The game started with a high tempo from both the sides, as both the teams tried to earn themselves something in the early minutes but Vinit Gada from Sahar in the 9th minute none conceded the first yellow card of the match for a mistimed foul on Fire Dragon’s player.

In the 25th minute, Pranav Jersey received the ball from the midfield in the opponents box who latched in a powerful shot in the centre of the goal but the keeper kept it out but unfortunately dropped it which fell into Saurabh Shinde’s path who strike it into the empty net to give Fire Dragon a crucial lead.

Sahar Silver Stars showed their character as in the 30th minute a counter attack was well executed by Sumit Sagwekar who scored past the keeper to make it all square.

Half Time score came out to be 1-1 which was also carried out to be the same until full time. The second half only saw another yellow card for Pachino Fernandes from the Sahar side with a mistimed tackle on the opponent player in the 41st minute.

Full-time score was the same as Sahar Silver Star drew 1-1 with Fire Dragon earning both one point each.
