Rustomjee Kenkre Champions League to kick off this Sunday

The 4th edition of Rustomjee’s Kenkre Champions League (KCL) will kick-off on Sunday, 8th January 2017. The tournament will constitute a number of age-group categories (Boys & Girls), challenging for the ultimate glory. The Sunday League, as it is known to several audiences, will be played on seven Sundays starting this week at Don Bosco School, Matunga.

An open tournament, Kenkre Champions League extends its arms to welcome each and every football playing enthusiast, club and academy who share a common vision for the development of sport in the city. At KCL, players are presented with an opportunity to be guided by experienced coaches, well equipped with grassroots development.

Being a league, each individual participant is helped with having the chance to play seven matches in the course of the tournament, helping bolster his confidence and competitiveness. There will be two leagues played across five fields each Sunday. The prize money of 15,00,000 lakh rupees for the winners and individual honours help these players with a suitable platform to re-invest the monetary benefits and experiences to the best of their abilities.

The overall experience of bringing together the community of football has been a real highlight of the league in the past three years. The club’s organisation has helped parents cheer with sheer joy and enthusiasm and enjoy the moment of football his or her child plays.
