Premier Futsal has strengthened its position after confirming Brazilian Legend Ronaldinho’s Association for further three years in a Press Conference which was held at St. Regis on Friday evening. Premier Futsal also announced that the upcoming season 2 will go beyond the territory with semi-finals and finals scheduled to take place in Dubai.

“We expect the second season to be bigger and better. Premier Futsal has been well structured and we expect it to become a leading sport’s properties in the coming year.

The league matches will be played in India, while the finals and semi-final will be played in Dubai. We are looking at increasing our international exposure,” Xavier Britto, Chairman of Premier Futsal.

Ronaldino, as usual with a big smile on his face, said: “I am happy to be here. I love the food and warmth of the Indian people. The very first season was a huge success that motivated everyone at the back here. This season is going to be a bigger success. I am very happy to be here and receive the love of fans and people from India,”

“I believe the improvement in FIFA ranking (in football) will help Futsal especially after the success of last year. It will also help other sports to grow,” the 2002 World Cup winner expressed.
Ronaldinho added: “We want to inspire more and more youngsters to take up the sport and all of our efforts especially the launch pad are directed towards bringing in youth closer to the game.”
The season 2 will begin from 15th September in Mumbai’s NSCI Dome. Besides Mumbai, the other venues are Delhi and Bangalore before culminating in Dubai.
