NorthEast United vs Jamshedpur FC Player ratings: How did the players fare

The second match of the Indian Super League’s latest edition witnessed an enthralling 90 minutes display from both Northeast United FC and Jamshedpur FC.

Despite Andrey Bikey receiving a red card on the later stages of the drama, Jamshepur FC managed to hold the buoyant hosts to a 0 – 0 draw.

Let’s take a look at how the players were fared.

Northeast United FC

Rehanesh TP – 8

Hailing from Kerala, Rahanesh was rock solid throughout the game, Although he had less work compared to his counterpart at the other end, Rehanesh came up with couple crucial saves including the one where he denied JFC a crucial lead in the added minute of half-time to keep his side in the game.

Abdul Hakku – 6

ISL debutant, Abdul Hakku had a decent game today vs Jamshedpur. He stood firm to deny JFC attacks, but his lack of experience showed way for few mistakes.

Jose Goncalves – 7

Heavy at the back, Jose was a reliable and durable vs Jamshedpur. He had played a good game to keep the JFC attacker’s at it’s bay. He was indomitable in the air, which helped the highlanders curb away the high balls aiming to exploit.

Nirmal Chhetri – 6

Akin to that of Hakku, Nirmal had a decent show with the highlanders. He performed a fine display during the entire game, and was able to deploy some fatal moves into the JFC’s box

Robert Lalthlamuana – 7

The skipper of the highlanders, Robert did an admirable job for them. Not only had he spread the balls from the flanks, he was there to assist the attackers through the left flank. He did well to reclaim the possession for his side, and it was indeed a real display of a captain from him.

Marcinho – 8

Hero of the match, Marcinho was a constant peril for the JFC and he was in command of the attack of the highlanders. He swirled many into the box, and he himself found time to pull the trigger, but none hit the target.

Seminlen Doungel – 6

Similar to that of his co-players, Doungel also performed a fine show for the hosts. He was there in the midfield to run the things, and had made only scanty impact.

Adilson Goiano – 6

Identical to that of Seminlen Doungel, Adilson also had a satisfying evening at the office. He supplied his side with good number of chances, and was there to dominate the play for them in the middle of the park.

Lalrindika Ralte – 8

One of the finest performer of the day, Ralte had the JFC defenders at his toe, and was throughout performing a radiant game, which should have benefited the score card. His quick pace, and creativity always made the opponents flounder, and his pairing up with the foreign recruits were much lethal.

Danilo – 6

The Brazilian also had an acceptable play this evening, and was at the helm of the highlander attacks. However, he was unable to convert the half-chances into goals, which in turn Northeast struggling to score to bag all three points.

Jamshedpur FC

Subrata Paul – 8

Subrata Paul had an incredible game vs the highlanders. The ‘Spiderman’ astonished the Indian football fraternity with his dazzling saves which kept the relentless Northeast attackers’ away from celebration.

Anas Edathodika – 7

Backbone of the national team, Anas Edatodika stood tough and sturdy for the visitors, and was a vital member of Steve Coppell’s defensive squad which thwarted the Northeast attackers.

Tiri – 7

Showing great commanding ability, ISL winning defender Tiri was the captain of the side and was able to co-ordinate the team, as well as was stern at the back. His soaring clearances were good, and the captain himself was one of the finest performer of the day for the side.

Souvik Ghosh – 5

Defender had a poor day at the stadium, as he was often outdid by the opponents at the flanks. He was unable to provide the attackers with sufficient passes.

Souvik Chakrabarty – 6

Akin to that of Souvik, Chakrabarthy also had a uneven day. He was occasionally outrun ed by the Northeast attackers, and was found struggling to keep them at the bay.

Mehtab Hossain – 5

The one Steve Coppell opted to orchestrate the play for his side, Mehtab failed to fulfill his duty and was tightly marked by the opponents throughout the game. He was away from his usual performance, which in turn affected that of JFC’s too.

Memo – 6

Northeast United had the dominance in the midfield against JFC, but Memo did some fine work to run the riots for his side. He was not the best men on the field, but he obviously had some fare share to the hard fought draw earned by the visitors.

Sameegh Doutie – 6

The South African star was in a positive mood to run the show, and it was he, who carried JFC some times.He was kept at the bay in the first half. Apart from creating few chances, which made JFC look more threatening at that moment, he took some chances from outside the box to score, but his shots went wide away from the target.

Jerry – 4

Jerry was not at his best. He was seen wandering through the pitch, and the chances he got were neither converted. It was expected that his performance at DSK Shivajians would continue here, but what has happened was really disappointing.

Trindade Goncalves – 5

The 21 year old star also had a dreadful evening at the Indira Gandhi stadium. He had barely made any impact on the game, but  tried his best to make the things go good.

Azuka – 6

Comparable to that of Doutie, Azuka was one good player JFC had this time. Blessed with pace, Azuka many times exploited the defense of Northeast but failed to duly convert all of them.
