Mumbai FC U20 complete a comeback victory over Millat FC in a thriller

Mumbai: High Flying Mumbai FC U20 were on the song when they beat Millat FC 3-1 in the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA), Super Division match held at St Xavier’s ground in Parel.

Mumbai FC was in Orange with Millat FC in Green as the match kicked-off 90 minutes late. To keep the delay aside both the teams treated us with some magnificent football.

The first half was more of both teams staying compact in defence, thwarting the beautiful moves constructed by their opponents. It was Millat FC who took the lead in the 10th minute when Usman Dhuru put them in front. That was the only goal of the first half with Millat leading 1-0 at the break.

The second half was expected to be a mouth-watering one as many expected an even game coupled with a Mumbai FC comeback. And the second half was no short of an edge of the seat affair. Mumbai FC U20 started the better of the two and quickly equalised in the 50th minute through Umesh Perambra. The next 15 minutes proved to be pivotal as the match was decided in these minutes. Yogesh Kadam put the Orange army in front in the 65th minute and to add to that, Aditya Dalvi netted Mumbai FC U20’s third goal putting clear daylight between them and Millat FC. The Full-time scoreline was: Millat FC1-3 Mumbai FC.

Three well-deserved points for Mumbai FC who showed the spirit and character to bounce back from a goal down. Millat FC will be ruing their missed opportunities.
