Young Guns FC win big against Juhu United while in another game Sahyadri Krida Mandal, Franco Sports FC share spoils with a draw

1st Division:

In a group D encounter, Sahyadri Krida Mandal played out a draw against Franco Sports FC. After a goalless first half, Tanmay Talgaonkar opened the scoring in the 41st minute to put Franco Sports FC in lead. However ten minutes later, Sahyadri Krida Mandal drew level after Rohan Sharma managed to find the net with a 51st minute strike. Despite chances coming near the end, the game trudged to 1-1 draw with both teams sharing the spoils.

In another game, Juhu Beach United (A) succumbed to a heavy 0-5 loss against Young Guns FC. The Bandra side completely dominated the game pumping in five goals. Sailesh Lakhani opened the scoring in the 28th minute before Aditya Rawal doubled it in the 42nd minute. At the hour mark, Dhruv Hegde struck his first of the night to make it 3-0 before returning to score the fifth goal later in the game after Owais Khatib slotted home the fourth in the 65th minute.

Game 2: Juhu Beach United (A) 0 – 5 Young Guns FC (Sailesh Lakhani 28’, Aditya Rawal 42’, Dhruv Hegde 60’, 73’, Owais Khatib 65’)

2nd Division:

In second division fixture, Friends United faced Lakers FC with latter, picking all three points. Ronaldo Fernandes was in exceptional form scoring a hat-trick in the game. The game started at a brisk space with Lakers FC taking the lead in the very first minute through Ronaldo. Abdul Shaikh brought things to level terms in the 27th minutes for Friends United. However it took Lakers just 4 minutes to get back in to lead and Ronaldo struck his second to make it 2-1 at break. The game resumed with Lakers continuing the domination and soon struck a third in 53rd minute as Ronaldo completed this hat-trick. Karnik Shetty added the fourth in the 66th minute as the game edged close to fulltime.

Game 3: Friends United (Abdul Shaikh 21’) 1 – 4 Lakers FC (Ronaldo Fernandes 1’, 31’, 53’, Karnik Shetty 66’)

In another game, SOSMTSS defeated Poinsur Gymkhana 2-1 in a group E fixture. Bhavesh Rane opened the scoring in the 28th minute to put SOSM in lead before a second half strike from Rinaldo Gabriel made it 1-1. However, Dennis Pinto struck late in the dying minutes to finish the game at 2-1 condemning Poinsur to their fourth consecutive loss.

Game 4: Poinsur Gymkhana (Rinaldo Gabriel 43’) 1 – 2 SOSMTSS (Bhavesh Rane 28’, Dennis Pinto 68’)
