MDFA: Tarun Sporting win to make it 3 wins in a row

Atlanta FC, Tarun Sporting win to reach top of their respective groups table in 1st division while in second division Shastri Nagar reach top spot of group E
1st Division:
After a holding Atlanta’s forward for first quarter of the game, Chheda Nagar defence broke down as Prashant Anchan opened the scoring in the 25th minute. Ten minutes later Kazi Huzan doubled the lead. Alex Fernandes struck the third in the 65th minute, two minutes later Gaurav Nagarkatti added the fourth to pile more misery on Chheda Nagar team. Sameer Sawant slotted one home for chheda Nagar Fanatics in the 70th minute to reduce the deficit. Soon Mikhail Roberto got sent off as Atlanta FC were reduced to ten men with things looking good for the opponent. However Gaurav struck a second in the injury time as the game ended at 5-1 score.
Game 1: Atlanta FC 5 (Prashant Anchan 25’, Kazi Huzan 36’, Alex Fernandes 65’, Gaurav Nagarkatti 67, 80+2’) – 1 Chheda Nagar FC (Sameer Sawant 70’)
In another game, Tarun Sporting club completed a hat-trick of wins with a comprehensive 3-1 win over PIFA Colaba U19. The game started with Tarun SC earning an early penalty which Dinesh Pawar converted gladly to start off the proceeding. Tabish Mulla doubled the lead around the half hour mark. Aman Gaikwad pulled one back for PIFA Colaba U19 in the 34th minute however three minutes into the second half Dinesh restored the two goal lead with his second strike of the day. The game ended at 3-1 score with Tarun Sporting holding the top position in group F table.
Game 2: Tarun Sporting 3 (Dinesh Pawar 3’, 43’, Tabish Mulla 28’) – 1 PIFA Colaba U19 (Aman Gaikwad 34’)

2nd Division:
In 2nd division fixture, Shastri Nagar (A) continued their top form in the group E table with a comfortable 2-0 win over Boxer FA, who are still to earn a point after the fourth consecutive loss. Nazim Khan and John Ferreira stuck the two goals for Shastri Nagar as the game ended at 2-0.
