MDFA: Sterling Das FA snatch a point with a late goal

Ten man Sterling Das FA twice came from behind to snatch a point against Sahyadri Krida Mandal while in other game FC India edge Madanpura SC.
25th December, 1st Division:
After a goal less first half, Sahyadri Krida Mandal took the lead through Vinay Jadhav with the 58th minute strike. But sterling Das came back with a late goal to equalise with Saurabh Hadgal, however with Rehan Shaikh being sent off, Sahyadri took the man advantage with a quick lead again when Nishad Govindan struck two minutes to full time. However, Sterling continued fight back and in the very next minute Essa Momin scored the equaliser to finish the game with a point each.

FC India started out brightly with two quick early goals through Krish Arya and Kunal Patel, but Hitesh Vadnagar pulled one back for Madanpura SC early in the second half to make it 2-1. However Jaspreeth Singh scored six minutes later to restore the two goal lead. With five minutes left of full time, Hitesh scored again to reduce the lead to one again. However Hrishikesh struck the final nail in the 80th minute to finish off the game.

23rd December, 2nd Division:
Das Football Academy topped the group A table after edging Oscar Foundation (A) with a solitary goal. Jason Borge’s 27th minute strike proved to be the difference in the game as the match finished off at 1-0.

In another 2nd division game, a clinical first half display proved enough as Maurya Youngstar FA scored a 2-0 win over Tata Power to reach the third spot. Azariah Thandli scored the opener before Akash Indulkar doubled the lead for Maurya.
