25th December 2017, Mumbai: Coming from a disappointing 1-5 loss in the previous game, PIFA Colaba came out with an improved performance against Western Railway, a side that had lost just one game in their previous five outing.

In a close first half both sides failed to break each other’s defence as score remained 0-0 at the break with Nikhil Prabhu taking a unnecessary booking something that would come to haunt them later on. Midway through second half, Somi struck the decisive goal as Western Railway took the lead. Matters went from bad to worse for PIFA, when their comeback was struck by second booking for Nikhil which meant the defender being sent off.

The game ended with Western Railway picking the win as the game finished off at 1 – 0. The win sent the western to second spot in the league table while PIFA remained rooted at the eight spot.
