MDFA: Chheda Nagar Fanatics sneak to 2-1 win over 10 men Goregoan FC

Castle Boys earned a resounding 10-0 win in 2^nd division while in 1^st Division Chheda Nagar starts off with a 2-1 win over 10 men Goregoan FC

1^st Division:

After a goal less 1^st half, Ferdinand D’cruz opened the scoring in the 44^th minute before Saif doubled the scoring seven minutes later. Minute after the second goal Goregoan SC’s troubles increased as Danish Khan got sent off, however Harshad Lavande pulled one back for Goregoan FC in the 72^nd minute to make matters interesting. But Chheda Nagar defence held on in the final minutes as the game ended at 2-1.

2^nd Division:                

In a group D 2^nd division fixture, Feugo Tormento FC played out a 1-1 draw against Athens XI. Suraj’s 14^th minute strike for Athens XI was cancelled out by Ali Gheewala’s equaliser in the 49^th minute.

In another game, Castle Boys SC hammered ten goals past Freunds SA. Mazie D’silva, Brabourne Rodrigues, Brendon D’mello. Wayne Trindada scored a goal each while Rahul Salian struck a brace but the best came from substitute Mohith Gatty , who struck a late hat-trick to finish off the game with total dominance.

Game 2: Castle Boys SC (Mazie D’silva 1^st, Brabourne Rodrigues 2^nd, Brendon D’mello 7^th, Wayne Trindada 3^rd, Rahul Salian 5^th, 9^th, Mohith Gatty 6^th, 8^th, 10^th) 10 – 0 Freunds SA

In the final 2^nd division game, Mother Teresa Foundation defeated BEST Arts & SC 2-0 to make it two wins in a row. Godson Patil and Karmesh Pakori struck a goal each for Mother Teresa Team as the game ended at 2-0 condemning BEST Arts & SC to their second defeat of campaign.
