MDFA: Charotter Rukhi Samaj earn their first win of 2nd division

Charotter Rukhi Samaj opened their points tally with a narrow 3-2 win while Charkop FC continue unbeaten streak with a comprehensive 4-0 win. In 1st Division, Xaviers Boys, Catholic Gymkhana play out draw.
1st Division:
In a group C encounter, both Xaviers Boys and Catholic Gymkhana played out a tame draw as neither side managed to break the deadlock. Both the sides kept themselves unbeaten after two games with Xavier Boys holding the second spot with 4 points and Catholic Gymkhana at fourth with two points.
Game 1: Xaviers Boys 0 – 0 Catholic Gymkhana
2nd Division:
Our Lady of Fatima succumbed to their third loss in four games after going down 0-4 to Charkop FC. In a group H fixture, Hitesh Pardeshi opened the scoring in the 12th minute which was doubled by Aakash Giri in the 26th minute. Mandar Kurlekar made it 3-0 in 33rd minute before Abhijit Desai finished off the game five minutes later with the fourth strike as the game ended at 4-0.

Game 2: Our Lady of Fatima 0 – 4 Charkop FC (Hitesh Pardeshi 12’, Aakash Giri 26’, Mandar Kurlekar 33’, Abhijit Desai 38’)
In the late night fixture between Charotter Rukhi Samaj and NB Challengers, an entertaining game ensued as the match was closely fought. The game was highlighted by two players Ajay Waghela, who struck a hat-trick for Charotter Rukhi Samaj and Raj Gore, who kept of NB Challengers FC in the hunt with a brace. Raj Gore opened the scoring in the fifteenth minute as NB Challengers FC surged to lead, however Ajay struck in the very next minute to cancel out the lead. Eight minutes later, Ajay doubled the lead before making it 3-1 in the 35th minute. With the game slipping away, Raj struck his second for NB Challengers few minutes later to keep the game on. However despite late attempts, the game ended 3-2 in favour of Charotter Rukhi Samaj, who picked their first win of the season.
