MDFA 3rd Division: SSE united, Khiladi colony win on day 3
The third day of MDFA 3rd division saw two games end in a goalless draw while two other clubs came away with wins.
The opening game of the day witnessed a drab affair between Khar West Football Association and RCF Youth Council. Neither side could manage to break the deadlock as the game ended in goal less draw.
Game 1: Khar West Football Association 0 – 0 RCF Youth Council
The second game was between Khiladi connect F.C. and BARC Sports Club. Mahadev Mundantare scored the opening goal for Khiladi at the half hour mark to make it 1-0 before entering the break. Khar soon doubled the lead early in the second half as Nadeem Shaikh’s strike made it 2-0.
Game 2: Khiladi Connect F.C. 2 (Mahadev Mundantare 29’, Nadeem Shaikh 46’ ) – 0 B.A.R.C. Sports Club
The mid-afternoon afternoon fixture between Mumbai Meghwal F.C Vs. Alfa Football Academy turned out to be another goal less game as neither side managed to break the deadlock.
Game 3: Mumbai Meghwal F.C. 0 – 0 Alfa Football Academy
The last game of the day saw more of an evenly contested affair, although it was SSE United that came triumph over FC Mithagar. Mahesh Tapadiya started the scoring in the 20th minute to put SSE United into lead before a Gaurav Yadav goal pulled one back for FC Mithagar. However, SSE once again went into the lead four minutes later when Aditya Madas scored the winner in the 32nd minute.
