MDFA: 3rd Division Round-up of 29-03-2017 at MSSA Ground

MSSA, Mumbai: GKW Rangers storm to a 2-0 victory over Veera United as Sea Sider and Mother Teresa settle for a draw in the 3rd Division of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) matches held at the MSSA ground on 29th March 2017.

3rd Division – Group B

GKW Rangers 2-0 Veera United

GKW Rangers were in top form when the faced Veera United in their Group B game. They were off to a great start as Anthony D’Souza scored on the 14th-minute mark. Just as Veera were threatening to equalise the Rangers doubled their lead through Clinton Pereira on the 44th-minute mark.

3rd Division – Group B

Salcette FC vs City Police

Salcette FC were kept waiting for the game to go on as their opponents, City Police failed to turn up at the venue.

3rd Division – Group E

Sea Sider 0-0 Mother Teresa

Both the teams started the game cautiously as both of them did not want to concede an early goal and this set the tone of the game. The game simply failed to turn up. Mother Teresa tried hard to create chances but were stopped in their tracks by the Sea Sider’s defence as they put in big tackles resulting in yellow cards. The game ended 0-0 as both teams earned a point each.

3rd Division – Group G

St Rocks’s vs IIT Powai
