MDFA 3rd Division: Lemon Break Sports draws against SSE United in a high octane game

In a game that seemed to tilt every now & then Lemon Break Sports and SSE united shared points while Judean United and Youth Soccer Academy secure respective wins
The opening game of the day saw Judean united SC coast to a comfortable victory against Creek View FC Varun Dey scored the first goal in the 18th minute which was doubled nine minutes later by Prakash Singh while Rajesh Sharma struck the third goal in the dying moments of the game to seal the deal.

The mid-afternoon game between Lemon Break united and SSE United turned out to be a closely encounter affair that ended in a hard fought draws for either side. It was Lemon Break that took an early lead through Wasim Ansari’s 6th minute strike. At the other end, despite SSE United’s continuous attack the team failed to hit the net as both sides entered the break.

However second half began with SSE united turning on a complete different page. Substitute Malcolm Telis equalised for his team with his very first touch as the game looked poised for an exciting affair. In the 39th minute, with momentum on their side SSE took the lead when Abhishek Bhosle dribbled past two players before slotting the ball past the rival keeper. However drama ensued in the very minute, when Sagar Chavan committed a foul inside in his own half as referee Umesh Patil rightly called for a penalty. Shahnawaz calmly converted the spot kick as Lemon Break equalised the score.
Game 2: SSE United (Malcolm Telis 32’, Anhishek Bhosle 39’) 2 – 2 Lemon Break Sports (Wasim Ansari 6’, Shahnawaz Ansari 40’)
The final game of the day saw youth Soccer Academy overcame a goal deficit to beat Kentaurians FC. After Karan Bhandarkara’s second minute strike put Kentauries in lead, Brendan Gomendes equalised in the 10th minute, Rishar Kotian scored the winner in the second half as the game ended at 2-1 scoreline.
