Amigos FC winning streak continued with a win over Storm Chasers, while IIT Bombay, BARC, Tarun Mitra Mandal pick wins on day 41 of 3rd division campaign

The opening game of the day saw group E leaders Amigo FC take on Storm Chasers FC. Sanket Shinde opened the scoring in the 11th minute  for Amigos to mae it 1-0, Despite some resolute defending and occasional chances coming alongside, Storm Chaser buckled later on in the game as Romen Malakar doubled the lead in the 38th minute followed by a Nikhil’s last minute strike to finish the game at 3-0.

In the evening’s group C fixture, IIT Powai faced Western India in an entertaining game. Kathik Chavan struck a 12th minute goal to make it 1-0 for IIT however at the half hour mark Western Indian equalised through Prem to bring back the score on level peggings. Nine minutes later Prasun Goswami struck the winner to finish the game at 2-1 for IIT.

Game 2: IIT Bombay 2 (Kathik Chavan 12’, Prasun Goswami 39’) – 1 Western India United FC (Prem Zodage 30’)

In the penultimate game, BARC Staff club picked their maiden win of the campaign after a 2-0 win over Sagar Mitra Mandal. Dhanajay Patil opened the scoring in the 17th minute before a second half strike from Pratik More finished off the game. The win propelled BARC to fourth position in group K table

Game 3: BARC Staff Club 2 (Dhanajay Patil 17’, Pratik More 35’) – 0 Sagar Mitra Mandal

In the final game Kentaurians FC faced Tarun Mitra Mandal for a group B fixture. Prathamesh Kamble and Tariq Khan scored on either side of the break to give Tarun mitra Mandal a comfortable 2-0 win. The win keeps TMM on par on points with group B leader Youth Soccer Academy but still placed second on goal difference.
