MDFA 3rd Division: Alpha FA thrash Oscar Foundation by 4-0

A hattrick from Ravindra Pol gives Alpha FA a big win over Oscar Foundation while Goal FA and BARC play out an edgy draw, Holy Cross, Shree Mavli Mandal pick close wins

The opening game of Day 27 was between Group C teams Shree Mavli Mandal and Jeevies FC. Both sides came to the defeat in the previous game and needed a win to clim up the table. Both sides held on to a strong defence line leading to a goal less first half but a 45th minute strike from Amey Sawant gave Shree Mavli mandal a late victory.

In the second game of group d encounter, Holy cross faced off against Saher FC. While Saher FC had picked up a win in the previous game, Holy cross came in to the game with a draw in opening encounter. Allwyb D’souza struck in the 22nd minute to put Holy Cross united in front. The goal turned out to be the winner as the game ended at 1-0 with Holy cross climbing to second position in the group D table from Seventh with 4 points in 2 game.

In an engaging third game of the day, Goal FA played out a 1-1 draw against BARC Staff Club. The game had everything from goals to sending offs. While Sandeep Thakur scored for BARC, Ramesh Ramakrishnan got the marching orders. At the other end, Mohammed Sufiyan Khan scored the goal for Goal FA however having led himself to yellow cards in the same game, he had to leave the field too making it a 10- man game for both sides.

The fourth match of the day was a group L encounter between Alpha FA and Oscar Foundation. Kunjbihari Chaturvedi scored in the 7th minute to open the floodgates for Rajendra Pol. Scoring in the 20th, 29th and 49th minutes, Pol successfully completed his hattrick leading his team to a 4-0 win.

Updated evening games:

The evening game between Anushakti Nagar and FC Mithagar for a group M encounter turned out to be an one sided affair after a 7-0 hammering of latter. Akshay Nair struck in the 5th minute of the game to open the flood gates. Sam George doubles the lead five minutes later after which three goals in the space of four minutes made it 5-0 within 23 minutes of play. Dhijesh Nair scored in the 40th minute to complete half a dozen after which a 36th minute strike from Sam completed the 7-0 routing.

Game 5: FC Mithagar 0 – 7 Anushakti Nagar FC (Akshay Nair 5’, 21’, Sam George 10’, 36’, Prashant Ghughatyal 19’, Viswajeet Sahoo 23’, Dhijesh Nair 30’)

The penultimate game of the day was between Veer Engg. and Bassiem United for a group A fixture. A brace from Parikshit Sule sent Bassiem united to a third win in a row. Veer engineering on the other end faced their first loss of the campaign after a draw and win in the first two games.

In the group F fixture, the last game of the day, Golden gunners faced off against Boxers FA. Goals from Neil Fernandes and Douglas Noronha gave Gunners their first win of the season while condemning Boxers in to their second defeat of campaign
