MDFA 2nd Division: Veera United FC trudge past CSL in a 2-0 win

While Charkop FC played out a 1-1 draw with Silver Innings FC, Veera United FC defeated CSL 2-0 in the second division game of MDFA
17th October:
The first game was between Charkop FC vs Silver Innings with the game ending in a 1-1 draw. In an entertaining affair, Prathmanesh Koli struck early in the 3rd minute to put Charkop into the lead which was cancelled out by Deepak few minutes before half time as both teams entered break at 1-1. However after a subdued start to 2nd half the game turned interesting in latter stages of the game when Shaheed Yeregatti got booked for the second time in the game. With just five minutes of normal time left and the team reduced to ten minutes, Charkop got aggressive to look for the winner. However with just minute left, Goal scorer Prathmesh Koli was given the marching order as the game was reduced to 10v10.

In the second game, two goals in the two minutes gave Veera United a comfortable win over CSL. Sameer Niyazi opened the scoring in the 20th minute before Praneet Patel doubled the lead two minutes later.

18th October:
In the group A fixture, Das Football Academy played out a 1-1 draw against Sagar Mitra Mandal. Both teams came to the game after opening game loss and looked for their first win. Rohit Chavan opened the scoring in the 28th minute to put Sagar Mitra Mandal in to lead before the break. Second half started with Das FA making quick attempts to get the equaliser. At the hour mark, Prashant Varankar levelled the score to make it 1-1.

In another game, Castle Boys SC played out a goal less draw with Rudra FA (A) in a group G fixture. While Castle Boys remained on top end of group table with four points, Rudra FA picked up their first point and and moved to seventh in the table.
