MDFA 2nd Division: SRS Sporting blank Friends United 5-0

SRS Sporting hammered five past a hapless Friends United FC, while in other game Mumbai Rush thrash Utkarsh Mandal 5-2 in a 2^nd division fixture

In the first 2^nd division game of the day, a clinical performance from SRS Sporting ended in a 5-0 result that took them to the top of the group B table. Extending their unbeaten run to three games the team is yet to concede a single goal while their dominant strike force has already scored ten goals in the mean time. Darshan Jagtap Scored a hat-trick while Ashish Dage scored a brace to complete a 5-0 routing of the Friends United FC.

Group B: SRS Sporting (Darshan Jagtap 1^st, 3^rd, 5^th, Ashish Dage 2^nd, 4^th) 5 – 0 Friends United FC

In a group C game, Utkarsh Mandal faced Mumbai Rush Soccer Club. After an almost even opening twenty minutes, Mumbai Rush started dominating the game scoring four in the next 30 minutes. Pathrose Jose opened the scoring in the 26’ minute before Shivam Puri doubled the lead four minutes later. Murad Mohammad tripled the lead after the break before Shivam Puri came back with his second of the day to make it 4-0. However Utkarsh Mandal pulled two gaols back in the space of seven minutes to make matters m=interesting. But Somesh Masurkar struck minutes before the end the end to make it 5-2 and kill of the game for Utkarsh Mandal.

Group C: Utkarsh Mandal (Sachin Wankhade 57’, Suras Dawre 64’) 2 – 5 Mumbai Rush Soccer Club (Pathrose Jose 26’, Shivram Puri 30’, 53’, Murad Mohd. 50’, Somesh Mansurkar 69’)

In the final game of the day, Group A mid-table teams Das FA and Samuel FA faced each other. Samuel FA’s search for their first win of the campaign continues as they lose out narrowly to Das Football Academy with a 1-2 score. Erhard Fernandes and Aditya Jambhle scored for Das FA to give them their first win of the campaign while Dayyan Ansari scored the only goal for Samuel FA.
