MDFA: 2nd Division Round-up of 28-03-2017 at MSSA Ground

MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association)

MSSA, Mumbai: ICL romps to a victory over Tata Power in the 2nd Division while Ruffians, Young Boys and Mumbai FC Rush have a good time in the 3rd Division of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) matches held at the MSSA ground on 28th March 2017.

2nd Division – Group F

ICL U-19 2-1 Tata Power

Tata power scored the first goal of the game on the 22nd-minute mark when Ricky Bagade put the ball in the back of the net. ICL quickly levelled things up as Rahul Mathew scored in the 28th minute. Soon ICL went on to take the lead as they scored on the 39th-minute mark when Vijay Mourya scored. The game ended 2-1 in the favour of ICL as the defended vigorously to preserve their lead.

3rd Division – Group A

Ruffians FC ‘A’ 2-1 Rudra Academy. 

Ruffians had a wonderful start to the game as they put early pressure on Rudra Academy and the pressure paid off as they scored the first goal of the match in the 13th minute when Avelino Faria put them ahead. They quickly scored another in the 17th minute as Shaizan Badshah doubled Ruffians lead. Rudra Academy tried to get back in the game and scored one the 49th-minute mark making it 2-1.

3rd Division – Group A

Miracles FC 0-2 Young Boys ‘B’ 

The game began with a bang as the Young Boys took an early lead when Atique put them ahead on the 4th-minute mark. Young Boys again had a great start to the second half scoring in the 48th minute. Miracles FC just couldn’t get the game going as they lacked the intent.

3rd Division- Group B

Ansh Travels 0-0 Future Stars Academy. 

This game was failed to get going as both the teams failed to create big chances. Both the teams could not penetrate each other’s defence as they held on tight. They game ended 0-0 and both the teams were happy with a point each.

Miners Colts 1-2 Mumbai FC Rush

Mumbai FC Rush’s no.10 – Tyson Patel was in red hot form as he scored a first-half brace on the 28th and the 38th-minute mark as the Miners’ just couldn’t cope with his speed and agility. Miners soon hit back with a reply of their own as they scored in the 40th minute. Unfortunately for Miners, they couldn’t level the game as it ended 2-1 in Mumbai FC Rush’s favour.
