MDFA 2nd Division: Prathamesh Samant stars in Worli SC 4-0 win
Worli SC pick all three points riding on hat-trick from Prathamesh Samant while in other game Tata power edged out FC Mithagar. Indian Gymkhana and We Care FC settle for a point.
The first game of the day saw a group C encounter with Indian Gymkhana facing off against We Care FC. After a goalless first half, Sumukh Pawar struck a 42nd minute goal to put Indian Gymkhana in front, however twelve minutes later, Noel Plavila equalised for We Care FC to bring the game at level terms. The game ended at 1-1 score line with both teams taking a point each.

In the next game, FC Mithagar faced Tata power for a group D fixture. A 5th minute goal by Avinash Ashokan turned out to be the winning goal as Tata Power grabbed all three points to start off their 2nd division campaign.

In the last 2nd division game of the day 6, Poinsur Gymkhana played against Worli sports club. After Sanket Gawde had put Worli SC in front, a hattrick from Prathamesh Samant finished off the game for Poinsur Gymkhana as Worli SC took a dominating 4-0 lead before the hour mark. The game ended at 4-0 with Poinsur failing to break Worli defence.
