MSSA, Mumbai: Here is the round-up of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) for the matches that were held at the MSSA ground on Monday, 27/03/2017.
3rd Division – Group H
FC Mumbaikar 1-0 Pioneer FC
The game took its time to get going as both the teams tried to test each other in the opening exchanges which weren’t as fruitful as they would have hoped. The only goal of the game came in the 29th minute when Mumbaikar’s Prabjyot Dhotre put the ball in the back of the net. Pioneer FC tried to get their game going but it was without an end product handing FC Mumbaikar a 1-0 win.
3rd Division – Group H
Millat FC ‘B’ 1-2 Shri Sainath MM
The game got off to a frantic start as both the teams were at it from the word go. Shri Sainath MM were soon rewarded as their no.9 ‘Prabhjot Saini’ scored. However, Shri Sainath MM were immediately caught off guard as Millat FC scored within seconds of the restart as Mushfeaq Shaikh put the ball in the back of the net on the 10th-minute mark. Both teams exchanged blows but Sainath’s Akshit Michael popped up with a goal on the 40-minute mark which turned out to be the winner.
