MDFA 1st division: Dadar XI, Mumbai United share spoils in a group E fixture

In a group E game, after trailing Mumbai United (A) for most part of the game Dadar XI snatched a late draw to start of 1st division campaign with a point

After a subdued start Mumbai United (A) took a quick two goals lead within two minutes to make it 2-0 midway to the first half. Mukesh Kunehar struck the opening goal in the 17th minute to open the scoring. Minute later a strike from Pratik Shellar hit the net to double the lead for Mumbai United (A). However, Dadar XI came back strongly with an immediate response. A 25th minute strike from Krutik Shettigar reduced the deficit to 2-1.

Both teams entered the break with a goal separating them. Second half began with Dadar XI playing aggressively as they looked for equaliser but the Mumbai united defence held on. Finally in the 80th minute, Vineeth Shetty struck the second goal to bring back the score on level terms. Despite both teams attempting a late winner the game ended at 2-2 score as both teams shared a point to start of their 1st Division campaign.
