Kerala Blasters FC vs Jamshedpur FC: Strength, Weakness & Players to watch out

After being held by their opponents for a draw in their first matches, both Kerala Blasters and Jamshedpur FC will look to seal their first victory of the new season on November 24 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi. Despite this being the first clash between the sides, Kerala Blasters vs Jamshedpur FC has already become one of the most intensive dual’s of this season.

Kerala Blasters

Jamshedpur FC

Strength

The game against ATK was a real test for the Kochi based ISL outfit. The clout their defense had against ATK is appreciable and Rene Meulensteen will likely rely on the same names against the new entrants, Jamshedpur FC. Kerala Blasters’ midfield also has plenty of good potentials like Milan Singh, and Courage Pekuson. Despite failing to dominate the play for the Rene’s side against ATK, they did well to keep making good number of attacks.

Weakness

The ‘Yellow Army’ have one of the most star-studded side in this league. The team is blessed with the likes of Dimitar Berbatov, Iain Hume and co. Despite having a crew of lethal attackers, the side failed to be a peril against ATK, and is undoubtedly the major dispute Rene has to solve. The magician in Berbatov was kept in the pocket of the ATK players, while Iain Hume and CK Vineeth were not able to create the goals.

Player to watch out.

Milan Singh

The Indian midfielder had an incredible debut for Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League. Milan was among of the standout performers for Kerala against ATK, and was well equipped with rockets. He was there in the midfield, came upward, backward, to provide the team with adequate balance both upfront and at the back, and the coach will be expecting a similar act from the former Delhi Dynamos youngster.

Strength

Akin to that of Kerala Blasters, Jamshedpur was also held by their opponents in the first game, and the fact that has Steve has to solve is the inferior approach the players had against NorthEast United FC. The fact that Steve’s defense gelled up the stronger to deny the NorthEast attackers is an advantage for the visitor’s since they’ve to face famed attackers.

Weakness

Both the midfielders and the attackers were not up to the mark against NorthEast United FC. It was pathetic, seeing the midfield of JFC, which contains the service of proven players failing to implement the dominance against side of new players. The think-thank in Steve will have to deploy the better of his tactics, to keep his old side still venture for a win.

Player to watch out for.

Sameegh Doutie

The winger was not at his best against NorthEast United FC. He was kept silent by the NorthEast defenders, but turned into action in the second half, but still was unable to pull the best in him out. Steve will likely rely on this attacker again, to command the raids, and but will have to provide him with better supporters in the ground to co-ordinate.
