Kenkre Champions League- Day 5 Round Up

Like every year the Rustomjee Kenkre Champions League doesn’t disappoint. The number of kids participating in one of the best grass root programmes in the city and may be the country always puts a smile on everyone’s face. Like every Sunday Football Counter brings you the round-up of Day 5 of KCL-2017.
Under-8 L1
- The Scottish Devils and the Shining Star U8 played out a 1-1 draw in the 1st match of Day 5 of the KCL 2017. Ali Mohammed Balwa scored for the Devils. Jordan Desmond scored for the Shining Star U8.
- In another game, the Super Strikers and FFA U8 also played out a 1-1 draw. Rian Uniyal netted for the Strikers while Shaurya Setia equalised for FFA U8.
- The team named Real Madrid were stand out performers with a 5-0 thumping of the Hawks. Dhruv Chandorkar inspired his side with a brace and Adair D’Dsouza also registered a brace.
Under-8 L2
- Ayaan Kotak’s only goal helped the White Tigers defeat Joga Bonito by 1-0.
- Sparsh Shukla scored the only goal of the game as Scottish Bravehearts won 1-0 against Shinchans.
Under-10 L1
- Annanjay Daniel and Moksh Tunara guided Huskies U10 to a thrilling 2-1 win over Shining Star. Bhushan Parmar scored the only goal for Shining Star.
- Scottish Strikers beat the Shining Star courtesy goals from Deeptansh, Aadiv and Arnav.
Under-10 L2
- Shauryajit Singh’s hat-trick gave Mighty Minions a crucial win over Bombay Patriots. Ishaan Singh complemented him with a brace. The final score line was 5-1 in favour of the Minions.
- FFA U10 romped to a 9-0 win over Junior Stars. Mahsuvin lead the FFA team scoring four out of the nine goals, complemented with braces from Atharva and Mohd Mojawalla.
- Ishaan Singh’s was the hero yet again as his brace took Mighty Minions to a 2-0 win over the Panthers.
Under-12 L1
- SSE U12 ran out 2-0 winners over the Dynamites. Sanjay Rathod and Arhaan Bhat were on target.
- Jaguars thumped the Super Stallions 4-0. Gautam Girish bagged a brace while Joshua Mendes and Craig Salve were the other scorers.
Under-12 L2
- All Star FC edged past Rams with a 2-1 win. Ivaan Shringi and Dhanush Pillay’s goals guided them past the finishing line.
Under-12 L3
- Arnav, Amogh and Neev guided Rustomjee IS (A) U12 to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Friends United. Swayan Mehta’s fighting brace was well applauded.
- Golden Eaglets destroyed Rustomjee IS (C) u12, 9-0 with braces from Aarav Bhuta, Shivraj Dhindaw and Hanit Mathan.
Under-14 L1
- Bosco Blitz earned a 3-1 win over Ironborn Red courtesy goals from Krishna Karkera, Borin Fernandes and Shyam Pednekar.
- Bosco Falcons edged out the Ironborn Blue with a 2-1 socreline courtesy of a match winning brace from Nathan Murzella.
Under-14 L2
- Vedant Mashruwala’s brace guided the Jaguars U14 past the Bulls U14.Raul Almeida, Siddhant Doshi, Amaan Hoosein and Krishang Deep were the other scorers.
- SSE U14 scored the maximum number of goals in a match on Day 5 as they beat Scottish United 13-0. The Chavan brothers were in some form with Sandesh scoring four and Raj scoring three.
Under-16
- The Bosco Bolts edged out the BD Tigers by 1-0 with Joel Rodrigues scoring the winning goal.
- PS Sports ran out 2-1 winners over SSE U16. Govind Rathod and Akash Jadhav scored the goals from PS Sports.
