Kasturba F.C & Young Boys ‘B’ register thrilling wins, Jamboree F.C down BPCL
NEW MONTH, SAME OLD EXCITING FOOTBALL ACTION!!Here we go Mumbai, with another round up of the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA), 3rd division results for matches held at Somaiya on Wednesday, 1st February 2017.
Kasturba FC edged opponents Juhu Beach Utd B in a 1-0 win. No.10 Ratnesh Yadav’s goal proved to be the match winner for the Kasturba side.
Two quick first half goals from Young Boys B were enough for their team to register a 2-1 victory over Mangesh Sports ACD. Abdullah scored in the 9th minute to open the scoring and give Young Boys the lead. Zakir Ansari doubled their lead in the 16th minute. Rohan Mundlekar’s 47th minute goal wasn’t enough to inspire a comeback for Mangesh Sports.
Jamboree FC ran out comfortable 3-1 winners over BPCL (MKT). Justin Matthew’s 17th minute strike opened the scoring for Jamboree. Amit Kujur equalised for BPCL. But it was Jamboree FC who went on to stamp their authority on the match with goals from Pankaj Singh and Dev Patel. The resulting goals were crucial in the outcome of the match.
