Karen Pais hat-trick gives Mumbai DFA win over SGFI-1 in the girl’s category final
Mumbai: The girl’s teams from Mumbai DFA have to be thankful to Karen Pais for scoring three times and giving them a 3-2 win against SGFI-1 (School Games Federation of India) in the final game of the Girl’s category in the OORJA – CAPFs Under-19 Football Talent Hunt 2017, played for the Olympian S.S. Narayan Trophy, at the RCFL ground, Chembur, on Monday, May 8, 2017.
Karen scored two times to put in the lead with a 2-0 score in the first half. But the SGFI girls make a good fight and Shruti Laxmi (1 goal) and Mamta Acharya (1 goal) make the scores equal at 2-2 in the second half.

Mumbai manage to score another goal the scorer was Karen for the third time in the last minutes of the game. Thus Mumbai won the final and become champions.
In the morning, Pune DFA win the third place match when they defeated Football Leaders Academy by big 11-0 goals.
The main players for Pune to score the goals was Smriti Girish (3 goals), Sonali Chemete (2goals), Aishwarya Jagtap (2 goals), Priya S. (1 goal), Smidhi Khokale (1 goal), Sana Shaikh (1 goal) and Aishwarya Gadekar (1 goal) all help in the win.
