Sahil Inamdar’s lone strike grabs all 3 points for Jolly Boys
17th January 2017, St. Xavier ground Parel: Naval Dockyard FC & Jolly Boys played a Second Division match of the MDFA League 2016-17 at St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel. Sahil Inamdar scored an all-important goal for Jolly Boys in the first half to seal a victory over the Docks.
The game started with a high intensity of attacking football with both teams came up with a promise to grab all three points but an early strike from Sahil Inamdar for Jolly Boys who drives in a perfect shot past the keeper in the 11th minute to change it all.
As we got to see first half ending in a 1-0 scoreline, it went on to be the same at the end of the game as Jolly Boys grabbed all the three points.
The trailing side tried their best to get back in the game but wasn’t enough to have a come-back, with the Jolly Boys defence holding their nerves back tight till the end of full time.
The game also saw a yellow card each for Francis D’souza from the winning side & another for Ronald. N. Olivera from the trailing side.
