FCV Academy trials to begin on 28th September

Englishman Tony Walmsley, former A-league side coach holding an AFC pro diploma will supervise the trials alongside current EPL team Crystal Palace scout Ian Sampson

Footballers from in and around Mumbai will now have a chance to showcase their talents in front of International coaches and train at internationally renowned FCV Academy, which for now, will operate in Mumbai and will look to expand over the years.

Beginning from a base in Santa Cruz, the coaching programme will operate six days a week, catering to the needs of both Developmental and Performance squads. Once the academy is established, camps will be held across other regions.

The FCV International Football Academy will conduct an open assessment trials to select players on Thursday 28th September (3.00 pm to 6.00 pm), Saturday 30th September to Monday 2nd October 2017 (10.30 am to 4.30 pm). It should be noted that there will be no trials on Friday 29th September.

The official launch of the FCV International Football Academy will be held at the Lions Municipal Sports Complex, Milan Subway, Santacruz (West) on Thursday, 28th September at 5:30 pm. MDFA President, Aditya Thackeray, will launch the academy on September 28.

Walmsley will be joined for the four-day Big Kick-Off by experienced UEFA A licence holder and current Crystal Palace scout, Ian Sampson, who is FCV’s international development coach, plus SRS head coach Firmin D’Souza and assistant coach, Sudheesh Muttath.
