Go Green

Mumbai: The 7th Edition of Rustomjee Go Green Cup 2017 will start on March 5th, 2017. A grassroots focused tournament, Go Green Cup has been able to capture essentials such as participation, professionalism and sustainability. The individual and team registration process will end on 2nd March 2017. You can download the registration form from www.kenkresports.com.

This time, matches will be played under floodlights to add more drama and present players with a different environment to play under at Don Bosco grounds, Matunga. The participating players can register their teams under six categories (for Boys) and three categories (for girls).

Boys: Under-8, Under-10, Under-12, Under-14, Under-16, Under-18

Girls: Under-12, Under-14, Under-16

Over the past six editions of the tournament, Kenkre Football Club has been able to put together an excellent all-round effort by providing players from a very young age with competitive football. Coaches have previously said that Go Green is one of those fine and well organised professional tournaments where a wholesome experience can be gained by the players and also the spectators who come in good numbers to support these players.

While most of the tournaments held across the city provide a platform for the open age category, Go Green and other footballing initiatives by Kenkre F.C. have channelized these round-the-year tournaments with a more professional and thorough approach towards the development of football in the city.

The most important and crucial aspect of the tournament remains the participation of parents and others who gather in sizeable crowds to encourage and in return add true value to sport.

The goals have been very clear and proper structuring has helped the tournament grow step by step. The quality on display has gradually increased with the intensity of the games being second to none when compared to other tournaments.

Starting from March 5th next work the tournament promises to have more exciting days of football for the players and fans, as we will closely monitor the day to day highlights. There are several reasons which make Go Green as one of the most anticipated tournaments across the city, particularly among the young football enthusiasts.
