Dena bank edge past Mumbai Muslims

Mumbai: Dena Bank outlast and outclass Mumbai Muslims in their Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) Super Division match held at Andheri SC on 19th April 2017.

Super Division – Group B

Mumbai Muslims 1-1 Dena Bank

The game was off to a slow start as both the teams were struggling to find their rhythm and were giving the ball away cheaply. Mid way through the first half the chances started to flow for both the teams but the easiest one fell to Mumbai Muslim’s Atif Ansari who put it wide.

In the second half, the teams had their rhythm back and Mumbai Muslim struck first as Ashfal Khan scored a wonderful goal around the hour mark. But the joy was short lived as Dena Bank equalised on the 66th minute mark through Himanshu Patil. As the game went into the final minutes, most of the players were waiting for the final whistle but Shehzzad Khan turned the game around and scored for Dena Bank making it 2-1 in the 87th minute leaving Mumbai Muslim shell shocked.
