In association with Lemon Break Sports, the Cordoba CF football camp concluded on 31st December 2016

27 January 2017, Mumbai: The Football camp saw the players going through a series of technical and tactical training drills and with the help of modern technology like video analysis, GPS vests helped them to develop their footballing knowledge and skills.

To compete at the highest level the emphasis had to be given on developing the players physically, mentally, and physiologically, and with the arrival of team Cordoba CF from Spain, Lemon Break Sports made it sure that all the players are trained and treated professionally.

Cordoba CF International Technical Director, Andres Vargas Fuentes saw remarkable improvement as the day passed by in the camp. He said: “There is a huge potential which needs to be taken care of. Indian kids are very smart, intelligent, and a quick learner.”

Raj Shekhar, CEO Lemon Break Sports, “We would like to thank Cordoba CF, La Liga, Cordoba Council, Be Pro Football for helping us to put together this camp.

“We wanted the kids to understand that to become a professional football player a particular emphasis needs to be given on technical/tactical development. We want to promote football at all levels and for this endeavour, Lemon Break Sports is in the process of forming a professional youth football club which will compete in leagues across the country and local leagues which will include Under-8, Under-10, Under-12, Under-13, and Under-15 category.”

“Our immediate focus is to get the team registered so that we can start scouting and train the players to compete at the highest level. We aim to provide technically/tactically sound players who in future will represent India at different levels,” Raj said.

“In future, we are going to conduct more camps and we look forward to promoting football at the grassroot level.”

The camp was concluded by a visit from the Vice President of Cordoba CF, Javier Jimenez Sacristan, along with delegates from Cordoba Council who inaugurated the new coaching centre in RBK International Academy, Chembur, and watched an exhibition match between the players who attended the camp.
