AIFF clarifies on foreign players rule in U13 and U15 I-league

On Wednesday (30th May) Real Kashmir FC created history by becoming the first club from Jammu and Kashmir to clinch promotion to Hero I League

A few weeks ago, when All India Football Federation announced new rules regarding the foreign players in Youth and Senior I-League, the announced caused a massive uproar among the clubs. Five clubs, including Larsing Ming Sawyan’s Shillong Lajong FC, told the governing football body of India that they were against the new rule.

Earlier today, Minerva Punjab’s owner Ranjit Bajaj shared a screenshot on twitter of a mail which AIFF had emailed him regarding the foreign players rule. All India Football Federation clearly clarified that only those foreign players are eligible whose, parents reside in India and in the same city that the players are registered in.
