10 men Boxer FA share points with ICL U19 in a 3-3 impasse

8TH February 2017, Mumbai: A spectacular goal-fest came out of the Second Division MDFA (Mumbai District Football Association), played between Boxer FA along with ICL U19 at St. Xavier’s Ground, Parel. Chandra Kundan with his heroics late in the second half evoked an equalizer for the boxer boys which earned them a point.

It all begins in the 28th minute as Meghraj Kuvav cleverly past the ICL goalkeeper to gave Boxer FA a lead which was thought to be the game-changing moment in the game.

Kunal Ramdin proved his worth as he scored the equalizer to regain team’s confidence back in the 34th minute. Later clean strike from Wilson D’souza to give them their first lead in the 39th minute.

Whereas, Boxer FA were struggling down with the pain of losing their early lead got knocked by a third goal in the 56th minute were Wilson D’souza again with a snap-shot scored the brace of the game.

As ICL was enjoying their lead in the middle of the second half, soon after three minutes i.e. in the 59th minute, Shabaz Khan from the trailing side made his mark in the game as he reduces the margin by a goal for Boxer FA.

Deep in the second half, Boxer FA showed their mettle through Chandra Kundan in the 75th minute as he levelled the scoresheet to 3-3.

Other highlights of the game were a yellow card shown to Rahul Mathews from team ICL and a red card to Tohid Khan followed by two yellow cards from the opponent team.

Another match results: Mumbai Warriors SC U19 and  ICL B shared the spoil in a 1-1 draw in the First Division MDFA, Group D fixture. Keegan Fernandes gave ICL a lead early in the 7th minute but was soon cancelled by Jayesh Sutar in the 18th minute as the 1-1 score was carried out to be the conclusion of the match. Another talking point of the match was referee’s unhesitatingly bookings, Suraj Yadav from the Warriors and Roshan Kotian from the other side conceded one each. Two red cards of the game given to Nayan Waghela and Ajay Iyer from Warriors SC and ICL B respectively followed by two yellow each.
