Super Division side Salsette has collaborated with Young Guns

MDFA Super Division side Salsette FC has tied the knot with Thane-based football academy Young Guns in hope to step up in terms of professionalism in the sport.

Suraj Pillai has been Salsette’s coach in the journey from 3rd Division to Super Division. Suraj who is also the technical director of Young Guns alongside Pratik Telang who is CEO has been working brilliantly. The former looks after the players’ development, whereas, Pratik looks after all the important things.

By approaching this plan effectively, Salsette will get a steady pathway right up to their first team. This way they can implement their club philosophy into players right at the age of 12 which is huge step to developing talented players.

Young Guns has got the opportunity to set up a platform for kids aiming to make it as professionals. Also, the playing style at Salsette is much similar to what Young Guns encourage the kids. So it makes sense to stay on the same page.

Young Guns has been Thane’s best academy for kids for the past 4 years. They’ve been producing players to top clubs since a long time but now it would be filtered into one club helping the tactical development of a single club.

Every coach at Young Guns has a particular group to look after and its all supervised by the top coaches who is at the helm. Their development as a coach as well as the players’ development are looked after into much detail in this academy. This collaboration will surely help to build the football community in Thane which is much needed at the most.
