Steadfast FC – Mumbai Rush SC to host PIFA Colaba today in U-16 Youth League

Steadfast FC – Mumbai Rush SC are all set to host PIFA Colaba at All Saints High School, Kalyan in Under-16 Youth League (Maharashtra Zone) Group B match on Sunday evening. The host is heading towards the match following a 3-0 defeat at the hands of DSK Shivajians last week, whereas, PIFA Colaba is looking to win their first match of the campaign.

In the corresponding fixture, both the sides had to settle for a 0-0 draw when they met on 16th October 2016 at Cooperage Stadium, Churchgate. Steadfast FC is currently in the third position below group leaders DSK Shivajians and Mumbai FC with four points in three games. Meanwhile, PIFA Colaba is at the bottom of the Group B and is looking for their first win in this season’s campaign.

Yesterday, DSK Shivajians edged out Mumbai FC in an eight-goal thriller at Cooperage Stadium where Umair Saiyyad (DSK Shivajians) and Kamran Ansari (Mumbai FC) netted a spectacular hat-trick for their respective teams. Mumbai FC’s loss can prove to be Steadfast FC’s gain today as a win over PIFA Colaba will help them leapfrog Mumbai FC in the second position in Maharashtra Zone Group B.

One thing which can cause trouble to Steadfast FC today is PIFA Colaba’s sharp attack. Captain Akash Jadhav and his partner in crime Akash C. Jadhav can create a lot of problems for the host as both the forwards has been in impressive form in the domestic leagues.

Whereas, Steadfast FC has their own set of an ace. Captain Jonathan D’Souza, Midfielder Cornelius Rodrigues, and Abel Fernandes can prove to be important for Steadfast FC.

It will be quite interesting to see which team can exploit their opponent’s weakness and draw the first blood. Both the sides is hungry for a win here which will make this encounter a match to watch out for the neutrals.
